Our captaincy article helps you choose the right captain for the upcoming game week. This year I am again using my experience and data from the RMT Adviser’s algorithm to make my recommendations.
So a slight change to format this week without any RMT Advisor stats but they will be back next time! This week, however, we will still run down my top captaincy tips for this week and I am starting with the Spurs front man.
Spurs will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing Champions League exit in midweek and this weekend’s fixture with Bournemouth offers them the ideal opportunity to do just that.
Kane has an excellent record against this weekend’s opposition with 6 goals and 1 assist in last 4 games and throwing in Bournemouth’s less than impressive defensive record (1 Clean Sheet since game week 14) makes Kane my top tip this week.
Manchester City are just 4 wins from securing the Premier League title and they will be looking to get that done as soon as possible. Stoke away wont be an easy game but City will be red hot favouites to take another 3 points and move that step closer to being crowned Champions.
Sergio Aguero woild be the player I would want from this game, especially as he was rested in midweek. The last time these two sides met City scored 7 and while I don’t expect them to score 7 again I do fancy them to win and score a few goals again.
Aguero has a great record against Stoke with 8 goals and 1 assist in 8 games and looks a terrific option for the armband this week.
Mr. Set and Forget delivered again last weekend and although he has a very tough game this weekend he has shown that he is virtually fixture proof with big hauls against Spurs, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
I have championed Salah as a set and forget option and although I favour Kane this week I don’t think you can ever go wrong with giving Salah the armband.
A slightly “out there” pick this week but Mahrez has been in great form this season and scored a key goal last weekend to put his transfer saga behind him.
Leicester have a great fixture this weekend against a hapless West Brom side who seem to be slipping towards relegation without much of a fight.
While Mahrez might not be the most obvious pick this weekend I do think he could be a great differential pick, especially as captain.
