Fantasy MLS GW 10 Review and GW 11 Review

The first big DGW is behind us. We had the inevitable rotations which annoyed many managers but that was expected. We still witnessed 29 goals including 5 braces and a hatrick. And needs to be mentioned about the 10 clean sheets. There were some very surprising scores. #BecauseMLS

Gameweek 10 Review

We started the round with two games in which the four teams on a double played their first games. Both home teams won with Giovinco scoring a brace for Toronto FC and Kaka got one back for the visitors Orlando City- 2-1. Dom Dwyer had a brace as well for SKC and Melia kept a clean sheet against NYRB- 2-0.

Once again Colorado Rapids lost at home, this time against Vancouver Whitecaps. The only goal was scored by Shea- 0-1. The third day started with Seattle Sounders losing at home to Toronto FC with a goal from Altidore- 0-1. That was followed with D.C. United home loss against Montreal Impact who won with a goal by Ballou- 0-1. Then we had the big surprise of the round when Philadelphia Union crushed New York Red Bulls with a hatrick from Sapong- 3-0.

Columbus Crew won at home vs New England Revolution scoring twice with Kamara and Higuain 2-0. The third home team to win was Houston Dynamo crushing Orlando City with four goals. Elis, Manotas with a brace and Quioto contributed to the big win- 4-0. Real Salt Lake went down conceding three goals from FC Dallas scored by Hedges and Urruti with a brace- 0-3. LA Galaxy managed just a point against Chicago Fire. The goals were produced by Accam and Nikolic for the guests and Steres and Dos Santos for the host- 2-2. We had San Jose Earthquakes trashing Portland Timbers with a goal from Hyka and Wondolowski with a brace- 3-0.

On final day, Minnesota United welcomed Sporting Kansas City and won by two goals. Danladi got a goal on his debut and Ramirez scored 2nd in the first half as both goals were assisted by Ibarra- 2-0. In the last game of the round New York City started well with a goal from Villa but Carmona managed to equalise before half time. The New Yorkers came back with two more goals from Wallace and Moralez to grab the three points- 3-1.

Gameweek 11 Preview

We have another DGW this time with Toronto, again, and Columbus playing twice. You can consider it as a short one as 10 teams will be playing twice in the next one. Make note that there is another early deadline starting on WEDNESDAY. More pressure.

CLB ( W 5 D 1 L 4 ) vs TOR ( W 5 D 4 L 1 )

After two lost games the Crew came back with a win. Despite being unpredictable playing twice in this round I expect to see Ola, Higuain or Meram in many teams.

Toronto won their both games last week. They will play twice as well for a second week in a row. The rotation was bad for many and perhaps that will happen again. Gio shined with his brace but will he play in both games is the big question.

HOU ( W 5 D 1 L 3 ) vs VAN( W 4 D 1 L 4 )

The Dynamos continue with their ups and downs. Maybe Torres for this one. Elis looks good as well. Alex with his two assists can’t be ignored.

The Caps won for a second time in row. Brek Shea came in for 22 minutes and score the only goal. I am not convinced that they will be a third time lucky in this one.

TOR vs MIN ( W 3 D 2 L 5 )

Toronto covered above

The Loonies keep coming back with all kind of surprises. They have ruined the clean sheets to nine teams apart from SJ in their last ten games. Ramirez with his six goals and assist becomes an interesting option. It’s not a team to surrender easily.

COL ( W 1 D 1 L 6 ) vs SJ ( W 4 D 3 L 3 )

Apart from the opening game the Rapids have not won a game. They are losing on all grounds and look awful. I don’t recommend any players from this team.

The Quakes seems to be finding the ground finally. Two wins is a good stuff for them. Wondolowski was impressive with a brace and an assist, maybe its time to consider against what appears to be very bad Colorado team at the moment.

MTL( W 2 D 4 L 3 ) vs CLB

The Falcons won after long time but still look unconvincing to me. Piatti could do well in this one against what could be a tired Columbus team and not the best on the road.

Columbus covered above

D.C.U ( W 3 D 2 L 4 ) vs PHI( W 1 D 4 L 4 )

DCU have became very inconsistent at late. They might do well against bottom Philly but I just can’t see who to pick. If you are brave, Acosta can be chanced.

Hooray!!! Philly finally won a game in their ninth attempt. Was that the start of something good or was it one off we have to wait and see. Sapong was outstanding with his hatrick which made it seven goals in total. He might get a goal against DCU.

OLC ( W 6 D 0 L 3 ) vs SKC ( W 5 D 3 L 2 )

The Lions lost their both games last week. Many were disappointed from Larin with just an assist. They have won five home games and could be back in this one.

Kansas won their first game at home but lost to Minnesota away in the second. Dwyer impressed with his brace and now on five goals. Benny is still far away from his last year’s tally of 7goals and 13 assists but he is working on it. It will be a big game and it’s everyone guess how it will end.

NE ( W 2 D 4 L 4 ) vs RSL ( W 2 D 2 L 6 )

The Revs haven’t won a game since the beginning of April losing two and drawing three. Would you bet on Nguyen or Agudelo? I would against shaky RSL with one win and four losses on the road . I see NE back with a good win in this one.

As mentioned above Real are losing at both ends. Nothing from Yura or Rusnak in last two games. I am not ready to take a risk in this one.

CHI ( W 3 D 3 L 3 ) vs SEA ( W 2 D 4 L 3 )

The Fire managed a draw but still no win on road for the season. That said they are not bad at home with three wins. Nikolics is keeping a good form and he is a good punt. Accam is a kind of differential and good for the gamblers.

The Sounders can’t get off the roller coaster. They have only one win on the road and that was three weeks ago. Both Clint and Lodeiro are on and off and risky to have.

POR ( W 5 D 2 L 3 ) vs ATL ( W 2 D3 L 3 )

The Timbers are unpredictable as well. We don’t know how long Valeri will be out for with hip injury. The only player who can be trusted for now is Adi.

Atlanta is still finding it’s way in the league. I don’t think they will do well away to Portland but one or two punts are possible in this one.

NYRB( W 5 D 1 L 5 ) vs LA( W 2 D 2 L 5 )

After three nice wins the Bulls lost both games in the last round. Very disappointing performance from BWP and Kljestan. One of them could be useful in this home game.

The Galaxy still can’t get it right. They have only one win away and one at home. GDS scored but that was his second goal since the opening game. Alessandrini had two assists but is not enough for his price tag.

DAL ( W 5 D 3 L 0 ) vs NYCFC ( W 5 D 1 L 3 )

Dallas is the only team yet to lose a game. Urruti now has six goals including two braces. He is on a way to surpass his nine goals from the last season. Acosta is a bit inconsistent but he brings points. The defence is pricy but they have 4 clean sheets.

The Blues extended their winning streak and they are now second behind Toronto in the east. There is no need to mention Villa and his six goals-four assists so far.

DEADLINE: 7:30 PM EDT- 00:30 GMT

As always best of luck to all FFF Managers
