Help My Team for game week 34

Here to help. Post your team and get good constructive feedback on your selections. We will share our thoughts and concerns to help each other build better teams and hopefully win our respective mini-leagues.

How does it work?

Tell us your first 11, bench, cash in the bank and captain as we’ll take a look. We might tell you there is too much money sitting in the bank. We might question if you have the right striker or goalkeeper. We will point out obvious errors like it is rarely a good idea to have a defender as captain. For sure you will be told about the absence of a ‘star’ player and the captain de-jour.

Option 1: Post your team using the Rate My Team Adviser’s algorithm

The most advanced RMT Automated Adviser on the market today is now in “Release 7 Beta”, meaning it has been updated with the latest functionality to help managers for the full season. Based on published research, and capable of machine learning, our Automated Adviser is the most powerful analytics tool currently available to FPL Managers. Our Points Prediction engine takes into account new signings, formation changes, manager changes, and many other factors.

However, Fantasy Football First’s uniqueness is that as well as the excellent analytics engine, we have excellent FPL managers who’s opinion you can canvas. Data and experts – a powerful winning combination. Check if your team is ready and import your FPL team. Enter your FPL Team Code and import your team direct from the FPL site!

Option 2: Write your team in a comment

Post the players you select in the formation you want to play them, and separately list your subs., transfers and remaining cash in the bank. For example:

Please rate my team:

DDG
Baines, Gibson, Azpi
Sigy, Sanchez, Wanyama, Fletcher
Defoe, Lukaku, Kane
Subs: Lloris, Chadli, Morgan and Silva.

Captain: Sanchez and Vice is Defoe.
Money in the bank: £1.5m
Transfers Lloris -> Robles so I have cash to upgrade Wanyama next week

Link your team

Linking your team means anyone can click on your profile image and see your team. This helps because the reviewer can see your transfer history and get a sense of your overall strategy. After all, we don’t want to suggest a player you have just sold.

To link your team

1. get the url of your team from fantasy.premierleague.com. To do this open the game and click on POINTS. In the “Game Week Points” section you will see “View Gameweek history”. Open the Gameweek history page. Copy this URL.

2. Click “Profile” in the footer of the site. This will open your profile page.

The website field is in yellow on the image above.

3. copy the url into the Website field on your profile page and save.

Keep popping back

As the season progresses we’ll provide all sorts of articles, stats and tables to help everyone to maximise their points potential. We’re also posting updates on who is playing well or playing out of position in the weekly game reviews, thereby giving us all the latest information. The first set of tables are out and will be updated on Thursday. So keep popping back to see the latest player information.

We look forward to reading your teams

I am going with Lukaku. Everton still have a chance of qualifying for the Europa league, which might be enough to tempt Lukaku into staying.
Whilst Alli is also a good pick, Spurs do have the F.A cup before they play Palace

  1. Jakupovic
    Mawson/Britos/Holgate
    Sanchez/Zaha/Alli/Eriksen
    Kane/Lukaku/Ibra
    Bench: Heaton/DeRoon/Stephens/FunesMori

    1 FT, 0.0ITB
Ibra flagged, planning to do Ibra > Rashford
With saved money, tempted to go Funes Mori > Gibson for -4ph

Moves sound good? (Dont have AoA…Yet to play WC on GW 35/36)

Lastly, Who to Captain for DGW? Rashford? Gibson? Sanchez? Kane?

    • @Porcelain Biscuit

Ibra to Rashford is sound – although there could be rotations for the Burnley game after playing 120 minutes last night.
I guess Gibson will get at least 4 points from his 2 games, so go for that hit.

I am captaining Lukaku – Everton have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League.
Spurs are playing in the F.A Cup, so danger of injury or (less likely) rotation.
Arsenal are playing pants, and I would never trust the armband on a Boro player, even if they are playing the one team below them in the table

      • @OldGoat Thanks OG! I can afford to go for the Gibson hit as I really want them to keep CS against SUN! But then things never happen the way I want!

Lukaku sounds good for (C) too! He scored and assisted in the first leg of this fixture!

Sanchez though looks happier recently in his training and game photos (follow ARS so I see them) and could also benefit from change in formation by Wenger! He could well score against LEI (hat-trick last season)

        • @NAD999 I am considering Bailly too as he seems more nailed on! and Utd have been good defensively on the road this season!
Have to think hard about Benteke or Rashford! Benteke has a home game and is away to LIV who also tend to leak goals!
  :headscratch: :idunno: :headbang: aarrrgh!
          tough decision!

  2. Hi

    Please help my team!

    Pickford, Foster
Adam Smith, Mee, Olsson, Davies, Alonso
Sanchez, Hazard, De Roon, King, Sigurdsson
    Costa, Lukaku, Rondon

Have 2 FT (and am willing to take a hit) & 0.2m in bank.
Saving my WC2 for Gw36 and DGWs!

    Was thinking on 3 transfers.
    Rondon –> Rashford
    Costa –> Kane
Alonso –> Any boro def! (for -4).

Please share your comments and suggestions…
    Thanks in advance!

    • @ferrari.frenzy

Keep Alonso. Sell Adam smith for a Boro defender. Friend or Baragan will start both games if you can’t afford Gibson.

  3. Please help my team  Hi Guys,
    0FT and 0.1M ITB.
Bought Ibra for Lukaku early for the 1 week punt. Already -4 as I also bought Zaha. :(
Please help my team. Do I need to buy back Lukaku for -8? or maybe buy Van Aanholt to maximize the DGW34.
    Thanks guys.

  4. Change Zlatan for a hit? Rashford/Negredo/Benteke or bench him and play DeRoon/Maguire was set on the following.

    Alonso, Valencia, Gibson (Maguire, Cargill)
    Sanchez, Alli, Son, Zaha (DeRoon)
    Zlatan, Lukaku, Kane

    • @Sir Tinkerman
There will be managers press conferences later today but Mourinho is not optimistic.
Boss Jose Mourinho said the early news on the injuries is “fairly negative”.
He added: “I want to wait but my feeling is not good for both. I want to wait and be optimistic but I am not.”

  5. Hi Everyone,
I’m currently leading in my mini league with a 13 point lead. Can u please help me for transfers this week as ibra is now out. Don’t know whom to bring? :)

    • @NerdJunkie13 Deeney or Walcott should be a goner. Deeney for Negredo or Rashford. Negredo is my choice though. Walcott for Zaha too isn’t bad. Walcott doesn’t play 90 mins and now he’s not even guaranteed a starter.

  6. Please help my team  i have 1ft and i want to bring on de gea for valdes and was thinking either rashford/benteke/negredo for aguero and townsend/zaha for de roon. i dont mind taking the minus 8 but not minus 12. thoughts? ideas? was thinking of captaining the striker i put on.

  7. Absolutely no clue what to do now. Have this squad:

    Pickford
    Alonso, Vertonghen, Mawson
    Sanchez, Alli, Sane, Townsend, Lanzini
    Kane, Ibra
    Caballero, Barnes, Holgate, Yoshida

Had planned to save and then go Ibra and Lanzini to Gabbiadini and ? next week now I’m stuck I either do.
    A) Save the transfer and play Barnes then make them moves
    B) Ibra to Rashford but have played wildcard and he won’t get minutes this week or rest of the season is my concern.
    C) Get Lukaku but I’m chasing his fixtures oook tough and then my plans for DGW37 next.
Or something else. Really stuck. I have 1FT and 0.3itb

    • @Jamo97 First you need a keeper. Think De Gea which means you need to sell Ibra. Then u think about either getting Rashford or Negredo. Since you don’t have your WC… Think longterm, which means Rashford could be your man.

  8. It seems to be a common trilemma between Negredo, Benteke and Rashford instead of Ibra. :)
Currently, I’m leaning towards Negredo as Benteke’s fixtures are quite tough (already have Zaha) and Rashford’s gametime might be limited after 120min yesterday.
Considering I have Valencia, Gibson and Zaha (who I do not trust with the captaincy) and Lukaku/Aguero in front, I’m also tempted to hand Negredo the armband.
What’s your thoughts on the best ibra-replacement?

      • @Bryte1 Yep, still have my WC and planning to use it before GW 35. So regardless of getting negredo or rashford, I’ll be transferring them out after GW 34.
I’m also leaning more and more towards Negredo.
