Help My Team for game week 38

Here to help. Post your team and get good constructive feedback on your selections. We will share our thoughts and concerns to help each other build better teams and hopefully win our respective mini-leagues.

How does it work?

Tell us your first 11, bench, cash in the bank and captain as we’ll take a look. We might tell you there is too much money sitting in the bank. We might question if you have the right striker or goalkeeper. We will point out obvious errors like it is rarely a good idea to have a defender as captain. For sure you will be told about the absence of a ‘star’ player and the captain de-jour.

Option 1: Post your team using the Rate My Team Adviser’s algorithm

The most advanced RMT Adviser on the market today is now in “Release 7 Beta”, meaning it has been updated with the latest functionality to help managers for the full season. Based on published research, and capable of machine learning, our Automated Adviser is a powerful analytics tool. Our Points Prediction engine takes into account new signings, formation changes, manager changes, and many other factors.

However, Fantasy Football First’s uniqueness is that as well as the excellent analytics engine, we have excellent FPL managers who’s opinion you can canvas. Data and experts – a powerful winning combination. Check if your team is ready and import your FPL team. Enter your FPL Team Code and import your team direct from the FPL site!

Option 2: Write your team in a comment

Post the players you select in the formation you want to play them, and separately list your subs., transfers and remaining cash in the bank. For example:

Please rate my team:

Baines, Gibson, Azpi
Sigy, Sanchez, Wanyama, Fletcher
Defoe, Lukaku, Kane
Subs: Lloris, Chadli, Morgan and Silva.

Captain: Sanchez and Vice is Defoe.
Money in the bank: £1.5m
Transfers Lloris -> Robles so I have cash to upgrade Wanyama next week

Link your team

Linking your team means anyone can click on your profile image and see your team. This helps because the reviewer can see your transfer history and get a sense of your overall strategy. After all, we don’t want to suggest a player you have just sold.

To link your team

1. get the url of your team from fantasy.premierleague.com. To do this open the game and click on POINTS. In the “Game Week Points” section you will see “View Gameweek history”. Open the Gameweek history page. Copy this URL.

2. Click “Profile” in the footer of the site. This will open your profile page.

The website field is in yellow on the image above.

3. copy the url into the Website field on your profile page and save.

Can YOU help someone?

You’re more than welcome to join the fun. Helping each other out is what this site is all about. The sharing, the arguing and yes the gloating is all part of the fun. Its not all stats, stats, stats. Just give constructive feedback on the team and your view on the points it will earn, and you are all set.

Keep popping back

As the season progresses we’ll provide all sorts of articles, stats and tables to help everyone to maximise their points potential. We’re also posting updates on who is playing well or playing out of position in the weekly game reviews, thereby giving us all the latest information. The first set of tables are out and will be updated on Thursday. So keep popping back to see the latest player information.

We look forward to reading your teams

  1. @ChorleyRocks hi mate, sorry to sabotage this convo but could you advise please?….. i am 9 points clear. Should i swap hazard for kdb or for coutinho. it’s so tight to call! also, thoughts on alonso or moses starting please?

    Alonson / Holding / Yoshida
Moses / Hazard (swapping) / Alli / Sanchez / King
    Kane / Jeses

Bench: Pickford / Vertonghen / Bertrand / Anichive

      • @ChorleyRocks thanks for this. You think kdb is more of a risk than coutinho? Also Watford’s back four has been decimated by injury

        • @ed I think with one week to go it’s a flip of a coin. Gut feel, KDB gets in the box less and has fewer shots that Coutinho – of course, I’ve not checked these stats so perhaps have a look on whoscored.com

  2. Well last night was mad, most annoyed Vertonghen didn’t keep a clean sheet :lolflag: and I was quite pleased with Jesus captain until Kane and Sanchez, but at least the captain choice is easy this week! Still pleased with 167 and now into 2nd which is like a victory in my mini league having been so far back half way through the year. Hoping to defend against his bench boost and will be bringing in Adam Lallana for Tadic. ATM he doesn’t have Kane or Sanchez so looks OK ATM. Good luck all :fingerscrossed:

  3. Thank you to all on this amazing site. It has been a roller coaster ride this season. I won my H2H mini league with one game to spare. :bliss: Leading now by 5 points! Scored a huge 180 points this GW. Very happy, went from 145k to 67k in one week.
Good luck to all this final GW.
    My team is:
    Cech (Pickford)
    Azpi Davies Stephens (Holgate Gibson)
    King Sterling Coutinho Sanchez (Morrison)
    Jesus Kane Giroud
Took a 4ph to get Coutinho for Alli and Giroud for Lukaku. Final throw of the dice, see if I can improve on my overall rank…
I think I’ll captain Coutinho…what do you think?

  4. *Mourinho suggests that Rooney will “probably not” feature vs Palace on Sunday. He also reveals that Pogba and Fosu-Mensah will feature vs Palace. Smalling and Fellaini doubtful.
    * Koeman: “No changes. It will be the same squad as last week.”
*Mee and Keane remain doubts for Burnley’s clash with West Ham, says Dyche.
*Shakespeare: “Andy King trained today which is a plus for us. I’m expecting everyone who played last night to be fit for Sunday”.
*Local reports say Sunderland pair Kone and Ndong sustained dead legs in midweek loss to Arsenal.
*Long ruled out for Southampton’s clash with Stoke. Cedric and Bertrand both doubts, says Puel.
*Leicester say both Huth and Morgan “are unlikely to be ready” to face Bournemouth on Sunday.
*Conte says he is keen to help Courtois win the Golden Gloves, with Chelsea hosting Sunderland on Sunday. He refuses to be drawn on whether Terry will start vs Sunderland – “It will be a surprise”.

  5. Good end to the season with 183 points and a huge leap in OR to 297k from 606k.
    Hazard>Coutinho and Daniels>Matip for a -4?
Perhaps just the defensive change, as Hazard might be let loose to keep him sharp and he could easily be involved?

  6. FFF Championship H2H has been excellent and the final round is a face-off between top 2 position-holders…..Adrian Riley vs. Jack Alexander. Good luck to both of you.

  7. I´m gearing up for one last try at chasing down my ML leader. 32 points behind. Finished this week on 170 but that was with Haz captain. Had I left the armband on Kane rather than change it to Haz at last minute I would have finished on 196 and be just 6 behind the leader now :( So, thinking of not giving captaincy to Kane or Sacnchez but instead buying and captaining Sturridge. But if I do and it goes pear shaped how much damage am I likely to do to my OR which is 55,000?

      • @ChorleyRocks Thanks. Can I ask you –
would you / do you think it´s worth chasing 32? Or would you concede and protect your OR?
We both have Alexis, Kane, Jesus, Alonso. If I don’t make any changes then my differentials are likely to be King, Costa, Hazard and Sane. I imagine he will sell Alli for Coutinho. Maybe try to cover both bases and just do Costa to Sturridge, captain Kane and hope Haz plays 60 mins?

        • @Kumast Have you ever used The Gargatron (seriously)

very useful for letting you know where you are in relation to the top 10K etc etc. I’m 18 points off the top 10K but suspect it’ll take Sanchez blanking for me to force my way up.

  8. Good Afternoon Fantasy Football Fans! Final Week of the season, where that time gone?

Here’s my team going into the GW38.
I have my Triple Captain Chip still to play, so i’m thinking of a captain change with Kane in such good form, I’m considering at a -4 hit.
    1FT & 0.3ITB
Sanchez > Lanzini and Gabbidini >Kane

    Any thoughts ?

      • @ChorleyRocks Gabbindini for Kane and taking Sanchez out left me with 6.5m ITB and then in form Midfileders with that budget, and with reasonable last fixture, i thought Lanzini was the best of the bunch, other option could be Xhaka or Can

      • @Tyler Owen are chasing or leading?or just try to get beter OR?…i’ll keep sanchez…n sell hazard to get kane. N maybe mahrez too

        • @masterdeds I’m leading my works league by 100 points so no worries there but my pool team league is closer, but i really want the best finish to the season!

Just tried cant afford the mahrez swap as there is no midfileders for 4.0m

so its either sanchez or hazard

  9. I am top of my work mini league with 5 points lead. I know I am not going to win it this year as the one below me still have BB.
What can be done with this team? Thinking Ozil-Coutinho and rashford- Llorente or maybe Origi

  10. Hi I’m leading my league by 10 points, me and my main opponent have very similliar teams( Kane , Sanchez etc..) I suspect he might get coutinho … I already transferred in Kane … is it worth it to pay 4p for Coutinho or just let it be and go into gw38 with a 10p advance?

  11. OK. One last time. Please let me know what do you think. I am planing to play AOA this weekend. 1FT & 0.2M

    Caballero (DDG)
    Alonso, Jag, Gabriel, Kelly, Stephens
    KDB, Haz, King, Eriksen, Redmond
    Kane, Jesus, Llorente

    • @Panos For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t do anything with the FT:

      Alonso, Stephens
Midfielders and Forwards as you have them now

      • @Kumast

Oi, you are getting as bad as Kralin for reading my mind and then posting 30 seconds before I do.

Dare I ask how far behind you are in the mini-league?
I had a glorious week. Was 71 pts behind my rival, am now 22 pts behind. Still a big ask, but I now have a glimmer of hope

    • @Panos

I reckon Hazard will be rested ahead of next weekends F.A Cup final, so swap him to Coutinho as Liverpool still have something to play for.
