Rate My Fantasy Football Team Machine

Rate my Fantasy Premier League team for game week 8

Here to help. Post your team and get good constructive feedback on your selections. We will share our thoughts and concerns to help each other build better teams and hopefully win our respective mini-leagues.

How does it work?

Tell us your first 11, bench, cash in the bank and captain as we’ll take a look. We might tell you there is too much money sitting in the bank. We might question if you have the right striker or goalkeeper. We will point out obvious errors like it is rarely a good idea to have a defender as captain. For sure you will be told about the absence of a ‘star’ player and the captain de-jour.

Option 1: Post your team using the Rate My Team Adviser’s algorithm

Based on published research, and capable of machine learning, our powerful Automated Adviser is a proven FPL analytics tool. Our Points Prediction engine takes into account new signings, formation changes, manager changes, and many other factors.

However, Fantasy Football First’s uniqueness is that as well as the excellent analytics engine, we have experienced FPL managers who’s opinion you can canvas. Data and experts – a powerful winning combination. Check if your team is ready and import your FPL team. Enter your FPL Team Code and import your team direct from the FPL site!

Option 2: Write your team in a comment

Post the players you select in the formation you want to play them, and separately list your subs., transfers and remaining cash in the bank. For example:

Please rate my team:

Stones, Bailly, Mee
Alli, Willian, David Silva, Carroll
Lukaku, Benteke, Jesus
Defoe, Lukaku, Kane
Subs: Elliot, Evans, Stephens and Iwobi.

Captain: Lukaku and Vice is Jesus.
Money in the bank: £0.2m
Planned transfers: Willian -> Phillips so I have cash to upgrade Jesus to Kane next week

Link your team

Linking your team means anyone can click on your profile image and see your team. This helps because the reviewer can see your transfer history and get a sense of your overall strategy. After all, we don’t want to suggest a player you have just sold.

To link your team

1. get the url of your team from fantasy.premierleague.com. To do this open the game and click on POINTS. In the “Game Week Points” section you will see “View Gameweek history”. Open the Gameweek history page. Copy this URL.

2. Click “Profile” in the footer of the site. This will open your profile page.

The website field is in yellow on the image above.

3. copy the url into the Website field on your profile page and save.

We’re also posting updates on who is playing well or playing out of position in the weekly game reviews, thereby giving us all the latest information. 2. Hi guys,

This is currently my team, I held off on playing the WC. I have 0.5ITB and 0FT. I am thinking of taking a -4 hit for Fab->Pope or Mason -> Mee/Lowton. Do you think the hit would be worth it? Thanks in advance!

      • @RT08 I know I’m not happy with just Carroll as cover, was thinking of Mason to Mee/Lowten and playing 5 at the back with Cork on the bench. But not worth the hit, I’ll find cover for my bench over the next few weeks. Thanks for the help

  3. Hi mates, got 2 FT & 0 itb, please RMT.. :D

Really want to get Hazard and get rid of Firmino, what do you think is better option:
    a) Eriksen & Firmino > Hazard & $7.6 or below fwd (suggestion please)
    b) Eriksen, Firmino & Lukaku > Hazard, Jesus/Laca & Vardy (-4 hit)

    Thank you guys!

      • @SecretZorro thx zoro, if i choose pope,is ok dobeling with ward ??

I am concern about stones game time after kompany is back..

I know i push the button to early

I can downgrade hazard to pedro/fabregas, and than i can upgrade luiz+stones+sterling to azpi+otamendi+silva ,is a good idea ? Or keep the current team ?

    • @lemmiwinkz2
      1) Kane is a crazy striker who can create for himself and on his day can score against best defence. ( Season long striker )
      2) Lukaku is a gradual striker who will thrive being the only focal point of utd’s creativity , will score almost every GW but isn’t goint to score crazily in 1 GW ( Season long striker )
      3) Jesus is still not proven but right now fixtures and game-time is with him. ( Form-Fixture Striker)
      4) Morata – ( Season long striker for me )

  4. RIght guys this is my like millionth tweak. Feels a bit bottom heavy. Any suggestions? My concern is that I had Richarlison but his fixtures are hard over the next few weeks.

  5. Going a bit mad working through the options. Need a fresh pair of eyes to offer up any opinions.

    Foster/ Elliot
    Monreal/ Bavies/ Jones/ Ward/ Simpson
    Mkhi/ Eriksen/ Doucoure/ T.Carrol/ D.Silva
    Vardy/ Kane/ Firm

    0.6m in the bank and 2FTs to play with. Firm>Jesus & Mkhi>Fabregas? Firm>Bats & Foster>Courtois? Firm>Rashford & Monreal>Azpi?

Open to any other suggestions too. Cheers in advance for any help that can be offered.

    • @PickleRick I’d check those two 4m defenders have any chance of playing – a wildcard is a good time to correct non-players, not add to them.

I think you’ve managed the balance pretty well, considering you have three strong forwards. I would think about downgrading one of your mids so you can get a defender like Cedric in (though Southampton’s good fixtures don’t last for ever).

You’ve got good Man City coverage but Chelsea have got very nice fixtures; maybe you’re planning to move Jesus on for Morata in time?

      • @Kralin Thanks for the tip, I’ll upgrade one of my 4m defenders or I could bring in Forster to get Southampton coverage at the back and hope one of my cheap defenders play.

Yeah, I’m trying to figure out a way to bring in Hazard or Morata in the coming weeks after I sell Jesus.

  6. Please rate my team and suggest:
    Ward, Otamendi, Naughton, Cédric
    Alli, De Bruyne, Fàbregas
    Calvert-Lewin, Lukaku, Kane

Subs: Elliot, Mbemba, Kouyaté and Ritchie .
Captain: Kane and Vice is De Bruyne.
    Money in the bank: £0.2m
    Planned transfers: Have no idea…!!

    • @anandomostofa Nice to see KdB in a side. I think I’d quietly move Ritchie on for a 4.5 mid and use the money to upgrade your defence.

Also I think I’d rather have Man City attacking players than defenders, however the two you’ve chosen are probably guaranteed starters. So again a quiet Ederson – 4.5 goalie (Fab/Pope) may free up money for you.

        • @anandomostofa I would play Fabregas this weekend.

Ritchie is ok but may be rendered less useful, fantasy wise, by Shelvey’s return. I had him in my pre-wc side but moved him out fairly quickly.

My reasoning with Ederson is because as effective the Man City defence has been, you may get more points for their attacking players. Rotating cheap goalies may get you a similar number of points and save some money. I have got Otamendi and intend to keep.

I think you’ve got a good enough team for this weekend, just that you need to make a couple of structural adjustments.
