Premiership Talking Points

Talking Points for FPL game week 37

Well done to Leicester. They lift the Premiership Trophy today and the scenes this afternoon will be memorable. However, we are professional FPL managers and we can’t romanticise football when we have FPL points to win.

Newcastle and Sunderland have really hard games to call. Newcastle face Villa, and it’s not a good time to play Villa because the pressure of relegation has been lifted – and we saw the effect last weekend with 2 goals. Sunderland face Chelsea, who just want the season to be over. My feeling here is Newcastle are most in danger of slipping up. West Ham face a defence-weak Swansea due to the absence of Simpson, while United have a tough away in the early kick off at Norwich.

The fixtures this weekend are great, just hard to call, so best of luck all. Join me in our Continue reading

Fantasy Football Tips for the Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy Football Tips for FPL Double Game Week 37 2016

You may think this is your last chance to gain a lead, with it being a double game week: but it’s not. Many a manager throws caution to the wind at this stage of the season with disastrous consequences.

Only two seasons ago I was ranked under top-10k in the world. In a last ditch attempt to break into the top-5K I made too many moves for the final DGW and then used the excuse “I’m having fun” to justify what were blatantly risky moves in GW38. I finished the season ranked a disappointing top-26k. If you ask me now, I’d have rather played safe and finished top-8k.

So check out our tips and decide if you want to be the type of exciting muscle-bound hunk-of-a-manager who risks a 16K drop for a potential 5k gain, or if you want to let others do that while you leap-frog them in your nerdy wooly-jumper. Continue reading
